About the event
This workshop seeks to inspire participants, especially those who work in institutions that historically produce racial disparities, such as the child welfare, criminal justice, education, financial, medical, and housing systems, to think differently about their roles and take necessary action to undo biased practices.
A deep dive into White Supremacy Culture will be the base of this workshop. Attendees will define the various characteristics of White Supremacy Culture and discuss impacts at the personal, professional and social levels. This workshop is uses direct instruction, personal reflection activities and both group processing methods to help attendees reconnect and/or connect with their bodily experiences when navigating issues of race and racism.
